A Pond Brings Your Backyard to Life

There’s something about the sound of moving water and the sight of fish gliding through a clear pond that just makes a space feel complete. Here in the Lowcountry, a custom pond blends right into the natural charm—giving you a peaceful spot to relax, gather with friends, or simply enjoy the view from your porch. It's not just landscaping—it’s a little slice of calm, right at home.

HOW IT WORKS

Our Approach: Designed by Nature, Built for Living

We design our ponds to work with nature, not against it—using the proven Aquascape system that’s been refined over 30+ years. The result is a self-sustaining ecosystem with clean, clear water and minimal maintenance, so you can spend more time enjoying your backyard and less time taking care of it.

  • Every pond we build here in the Lowcountry includes a stream or waterfall flowing into it. That moving water doesn’t just add beauty and sound—it keeps things healthy by circulating the pond and introducing oxygen, which helps break down natural waste and keeps the water clear.

  • From water lilies to native grasses, aquatic plants do more than add beauty—they’re a vital part of the pond’s natural filtration system. They help keep the water clean and clear while adding extra oxygen to support a healthy, balanced ecosystem.

  • Fish play an important, symbiotic role in a healthy pond. As they graze on algae and tiny microbes, they help keep the rocks clean and the ecosystem balanced—all while bringing movement and life to the water.

  • Built-in filters encourage beneficial bacteria to thrive, helping keep the pond clean and clear—naturally, without relying on harsh chemicals.

  • Skimmers and jets help catch leaves and debris before they sink and break down, preventing excess nutrients from building up in the pond.

BENEFITS

Additional Benefits of a Pond

Having a backyard pond provides a host of wonderful secondary benefits, too!

Water Conservation

Believe it or not, a well-designed pond can actually save water. Unlike traditional lawns or gardens that need regular irrigation, ponds rely on natural water cycles—making them a more sustainable choice for your landscape.

Less Yard Work

Swapping out part of your lawn for a pond means less mowing, less weeding, and less upkeep overall. It’s a beautiful way to cut back on chores while adding something truly special to your outdoor space.

Supports Local Wildlife

A pond becomes a quiet haven not just for you, but for birds, pollinators, frogs, and even dragonflies. It’s your peaceful retreat—and a lifeline for the creatures that call the Lowcountry home.

HOW WE WORK

OUR DESIGN PROCESS

Step 1

Consultation

During the consultation phase, we start with a complimentary phone call to explore your vision and discuss how we can bring your water feature dreams to life. Next, we’ll schedule an on-site design consultation ($495 fee), where we refine the details, develop a construction plan, and present your project contract—this design fee is credited toward your build if you decide to move forward with us.

Step 2

Installation

The installation phase is when your project comes to life. We focus on one build at a time, ensuring you get our full attention, creativity, and care throughout the process. Your construction slot is secured with a signed contract and deposit, typically finalized during your on-site design consultation.

Step 3

Enjoy!

Once installation is complete, all that’s left to do is relax and enjoy your new outdoor space. To keep things running smoothly, we offer a range of done-for-you maintenance packages—whether you’re a hands-on DIYer or prefer a completely hands-off approach, there’s something for everyone.
